Massive family entertainment centre’s newest attraction teaches socialization in mini-community
CALGARY and BALZAC AB, – September 9, 2021 – Mini-Town is now open at SkyCastle, the massive family entertainment centre located at New Horizon Mall. Mini-Town, is a xx,000 square foot min-community featuring a little kids mini fire hall, mini police station, mini super market and mini beauty salon.
The mini-theme facilitates the adaption of a natural social network for new and younger generations. Mini-town encourages socialization as the kids interact with other kids while ‘running’ the town.
The carefully thought-out philosophy of Mini-Town is to provide a play area where pre-schoolers can be a fire fighter, a policeman, a doctor or chef.
With older kids back to school, mom and dad now have options for pre-schoolers looking to play and play with others. Feedback from parents (see below) with pre-schoolers, who like that it is a device free zone, has been very positive.
“Parents who believe electronic devices are dominating kids’ lives will want to know there is a place that teaches socialization skills in a fun and safe environment. The pre-schoolers pick up the theme really quickly and start interacting with each other almost immediately,” says Han Liu, director, SkyCastle. “It is educational and it produces really cute photos.”
Mini-town is part of one of the largest family entertainment centres close to Calgary. Occupying 34,000 square feet on the second floor of New Horizon Mall, it features climbing zone, mini-carousel, snow castle, Ferris wheel, donut slide and multi slides, toddler jumping zone, castle stage, and interactive games. New Horizon Mall is located just North of Stony Trail on Highway 2.
Soft play space is equipped with multiple slides, castles, Ninja area and a car track to keep kids busy for hours. The entire area is a visually open play area to ensure children’s safety while challenging them to reach, think, interact, explore, and have fun. SkyCastle features games and structures exclusively designed for toddlers.
SkyCastle uses a candy, pastel macaron colour scheme, with bright colours, theme rooms and lighting, to provide and immersion-style place where families can play together and create many fun experiences for all.
With three themed party rooms for birthdays or special occasion, SkyCastle can accommodate most requests.
Liu continues, “Socialization is the essence of a child’s growth, We also have heard repeatedly about how impressed parents were with the cleanliness of the facility.”
